Not sure about the issues you're having with the CD, but...
ADTPro allows you to transfer other disk image types as well as *.dsk
images - *.po, *.2mg, *.do are all possible.
With a Uthernet (or serial, or audio (!)) you can recreate the 3.5"
floppy disks as stored on IIgs Gaming Fairway (What Is The IIgs?).
You could either write the images to real floppies, or create a 800kb
RAM disk (using the IIgs control panel) and write to that.
There is loads of info on the ADTPro site for doing this stuff.
