A proxy server is a server that a user connects to that lies between him and
the internet. It queues up frequently viewed pages for faster retrievals
and often has content filters. Lots of schools use them for their internet
needs because of the filter capabilities. Earthlink doesn't have one in all
probability, because that�s not the kind of service they offer.
