Re: Loose holding slots.

I'm in the process of modifying my ZipGSx for the .300 sockets. I left
the card with a 'pro' solderer but it sat for along time with no work
done on it.

I happened to be in the electronics supply shop and mentioned my
dilemma. When I asked about soldering irons and solder suckers they
showed me a roll of copper-woven wire called a 'wick'.

By heating up the wick, with it lying on top of the soldered
connections, I'm finding that the solder is getting sucked into the
wick with good results. The holes are pretty well clear and open and
shortly I should be able to solder in the new .300 sockets.

I can't say anything about a solder sucker, as I've never used one,
but this roll of wick stuff is sure making this job easy.

Best;
Marvin (soon to be 64k cached and socketed all around!)
