.do or .po would be unambiguous.  CiderPress also supports .2img, which
allows for disk-order information (among other things) to be included within
the file.  

ShrinkIt disk image archives are always ProDOS-order, and have the advantage
of being easily extracted to floppies on an Apple II, which is why I
converted to that format.
