     When you have a problem writing, do you get a write protect error
message? If you do, make sure there is a notch on the left side as you insert
the diskette. (You may have to add a notch if you are using side 2 of a
diskette.)


     If you don't get a write protect error message, the problem is probably
something other than a bad write protect switch in the disk drive. (If you do
not get a write protect error message, what does happen?)
