Re: prodos text conversion
First there was an app called Apple File Exchange. It had the
capability to convert files on the fly.
Second came PC Exchange, it would just read ProDOS and MS-DOS
disks. This was included with the MacOS on later version up to
MacOS 8.1.
With 8.5 on up (I think) it became File Exchange. It still reads
ProDOS disks (and the text files) no problem, but it does have a
problem writing to ProDOS disks and not adding a resource fork.
It would mostly be a matter of Kinko's have the File Exchange
control panel installed. Also, most Kinko's these days only
seem to have the colored Macs which don't come with a floppy and
the only floppies I've run across for them won't read 800K disks.
They're basically just standard PC floppies put into an interface
for the Mac.
