ANN. A2 software reclassification and News
Hello All,
I received the following email today from Celt and decided I should
post it here as an announcement and news item for the general interest
of the Apple II community and its users.
I also have another personal announcement I will post to this CSA2
newsgroup later on today.

Hi Tom,
Thought you might find this email interesting. You can make an
announcement on csa2 regarding the freeware status of these two titles
if you like. I've included the headers of the original message as proof
for the vogons. Also, he's looking for copies of his games - maybe you
can point him in the right direction.

Hello!
I recently set about searching for copies
of my own Apple ][ games, which I wrote
around 1979 and 1980, as a freshman in college.
I published "Tubeway" and "Ankh" through
Datamost. ftp:asimov has a corrupted copy of
Tubeway (at least, I wasn't able to expand it).
If you perhaps have any leads on where
I might find these things, I would be
extraordinarily grateful...
And if you do have these files, you have
my complete permission to make them available
for free to world.

Also, I'm nearing completion of negotiations with the Softalk people to
purchase
their entire Apple II catalog, along with the distribution rights. Basically,
it goes like this: The older titles can't be distributed without their
packaging due to Softalk's license agreements; in purchasing their catalog, I'd
be bound by the same agreement. The newer copies, I'll be able to distribute
as
I please. They're supposed to fax over a contract for me to sign and return
with payment (about $1500 for the catalog) this week. I'll keep you updated.
