Usually one broken part will not damage anything else. Except from that are shorted pins on the slot connectors, causing 12V to appear on logic lines, and broken PSUs generating overvoltage.
To be on the safe side, you could build a dummy load for PSU testing, or just use an old mainboard. Connect each one and check the voltages to be within 10% of their nominal values.
Inspect all cards for corrosion or bent pins before plugging them in. Patrick
