Been there. Don't know why it fails, but there's an easy? way to fix it. If
you've got a disk image that does transfer correctly, then make a copy of
it. Use the emulator to erase the files on it and copy the files over from
the failing image.

I can only guess that the bad images have a sector order problem so that
when they are written back to the disk, the sectors end up out of order.
Writing a .DSK image to a floppy doesn't re-order the sector format on the
disk. If the image's sectors are in the wrong order, sector 5's data may end
up in some place like sector 13! But that's only a guess.
