Transfering data from IIgs to a mac

I want to transfer the files on my old (but still loved (sob)) IIgs, to
a MacIntrash.  On first perusal the translators are no longer available
on the Macintosh.  Comments and suggestions on doing this are greatly
appreciated.


The IIgs hard drive is 1gig.
The Mac I am trying to transfer to is currently using operating system
8.06.
A friend of mine has an LC that I was thinking might work as an
intermediary.

I read the usenet vary rarely anymore so if you could respond to my
