I used the Apple ][Gs for many years before necessity drove me to
upgrade. I still have it, and it is the most user friendly machine
around.

The problem is, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find software
support for it. There are still a few Apple die hard websites. Two
notable music programs are SynthLab and Pyware's MusicWriter. I
couldn't tell you where to find them, you'll have to start searching.
As far as sounds go, unless you design your own, it can be extremely
difficult to find good, realistic instruments.

Sorry I can't link you to any websites.
