In that case... your requirement of insurance of proper transferral (i.e. a
guarantee) would force all vendors to add a "Non-Transferrable" notice to
their copyright agreements. Since this is obviously not the case, it means
that the vendors were either horribly short-sighted, or were willing to
depend on the honesty of the customers involved during such transfers. The
trading post of the archive (as I described) would also depend on such
honesty.
