Really? And what software is that? What programs have been lost forever?
Indeed, the catalog gives a chance to save, by supplying the information
needed to get the software transferred to a freeware classification. While
the archive is an interesting idea, and some are working on it, still a
catalog would help in the building of an archive, esp. by showing what if
known and unknown, as well as what had been saved, and what hasn't.
