Re: Help diagnose dead //e?



As Michael said, it can't be your oscillator. A dead oscillator would
leave you with no video whatsoever.
Any chance the processor might be in backwards, one pin off or with a
bent leg? Years ago when I was bored, I tried starting a IIe with a
single socketed chip removed to see what the results were. The only
thing that matched your picture was when the processor was absent. Of
course there are a lot of chips soldered in too.
