Im online right now.  Aside from finding an isp that will let you connect to a
shell account, Howard Katz showed me a good source for this, I'm forgetting the
name right now but they have a site and there are local numbers for many
places, you can find a local  BBS that has telnet support.  Local BBS's are
harder to find but they still exist in many places.  Almost all BBS's online
now have internet connections.  Many have telnet, ftp, even lynx.  This one I
am on now has chat too.
