If you opened up the Apple 5.25 drive with the db19 connector you'd find the
end of the cable that plugs into the circuitboard is a 20 pin connector much
the
same the one on the Disk II. If you took the same cable as used on the Disk II
and plugged it in there, you'd be able to use that drive with a Disk II card.
I've seen those same cables at electronic stores. That might be the easiest
way
to go.
They used to sell adaptors for converting Disk IIs over to a db19 connector.
It wouldn't be difficult to wire a db19 connector onto the end of the Disk II
cable.
The main difficulty with this has been that very few electronic shops cary
db19
connectors. A lot of people tha made the conversion cut down db25 connectors
for this because they couldn't find db19s.
Actually the easiest way and maybe just as cheap might be see if someone here
will sell you a drive for a few dollars plus shipping. It'd also be the safest
since
making a mistake in the conversion or plugging a cable in backwards or 1 pin
off
can result in a bit of smoke.
