You cut off the interesting bit of her statement.  She said:

Which could easily be changed to:

This should apply to copyright.  A person who went to the trouble of
creating and copyrighting their product should have that respected.
It's not his or her *** choice *** that you are chosing to keep the
computer that uses it.

Which I find to be a rather interesting take on the whole situation.
