And do you realize how foolish it is to put words in other people's mouths Matt?
I'm fully aware of how technology has grown, and the limited thinking of people.
I'm quite aware of how science fiction has often depicted a future that has come
about (and also been way off base too - in the 1960s we were supposed to have
flying cars)

I remember seeing Mr. Spock on Thursday evenings on NBC with his hand held
calculator before such a thing existed, and the "tapes" that were about the size
of our 3.5" floppy disks inserted into the computers. I also remember how the US
Navy was interested in the bridge layout of TOS Enterprise and considered it was
a possible model for their vessels.

But I've never fallen for the more comic book level of stuff like John is talking
about.
