Ok, it is definately the Extended Keyboard IIe. It has two RAM chips, as you
say, and on the back-left it says "APPLE IIe INTERNATIONAL NTSC". On the
keyboard, shift-3 is marked with a � (pound sign), although it still
produces the # character.

Alright, I also have an AppleColor Composite Monitor IIe which should be
suitable for this machine. Unfortunately it is broken, emitting a soft high
whirring sound when I turn it on (the power light doesn't come on). Is there
something particular which I could repair on this? Is it worth repairing?
