I am like SO glad that I got all the hard to get stuff I wanted to get back
in '95, before epay showed up and ruined online horsetrading. Check out
some of the finds from back then which I found through old fashioned FS
post in the forsale groups:
flawless condition original ][ in its original box with all manuals: $15
Red Book: $40
//c LCD screen: $125
/// plus: $25
superdrive card with superdrive mech: $200 (recall this is '95 we're talking
so a superdrive mech was still worth some bux)
/// with profile hard disk: $30
Bell & Howell black ][ plus: $30
Mac 128: $100 (another cream puff complete with manuals and how-to-use
cassette tape still shrinkwrapped)
working Mac XL plus non working Lisa 2: $200
//c plus: $25
That's a few I recall with prices off the top of my head. Now add up what that
stuff might cost you at auction. And keep in mind that the ][ was the most
incredible find of the lot I think. That thing looks like it did the first
time it came out of its original box in '79 or whenever.
Needless to say, I'm not fond of auctions and how they ruined the opportunity
to get stuff like this.
