Me too! I just got 'em in the mail and just finished installing them.

Some of the chips they sent had pins broken off

Mine seem to all be OK, but they may be a different part number; mine are
for an AE GS~RAM III.

Are the pins rather long? They may be meant for soldering in place. The pins
should be trimmed to 3/16" or so to fit in the sockets. I used the nail file
on my penknife to adjust the pins, 10 at a time, for the right spread so I
could get them into the sockets. I checked with a magnifying glass to make
sure they all went in properly, then pressed them in firmly. Be careful, I
flopped one over and had to straighten the pins again.

The notch indicates the end with pin 1. On my board, pin 1 has a square pad,
all the others have round pads. If you have other chips already installed,
put the new ones on the same direction.

Can't help you with that, but my card has two switches. They are set for 1,
2, 3 or 4 megs installed.
Good luck!
