Macintosh DiskCopy image file format

Does anyone have a description of the DiskCopy 4.2 image file format?
I'm trying to create a little batch conversion utility from
.2MG-->DiskCopy 4.2 and it would be quite helpful to have the format. It
seems fairly straight forward however there are a few fields I have yet
to calculate (looks like a CRC or some sort of checksum). I know someone
has it because I've seen programs using this format in the past... any
help would be greatly appreciated! Please reply to cs@wsia.fm if
possible.
