Boy, posts like this make a fellow glad that Nathan left this group. That
reminds me, the third year of Nathanlessness here started earlier this month.

Anyway, the deal is that if you're trying to download Disk Copy images of
the IIgs system software and write 'em to ProDOS floppies on a Mac, you'll
get best results if you format 'em on an Apple II. That was what I determined
when experimenting to refute Nathan's claim that newer floppy drives in Macs
wouldn't make Apple II friendly disks. If you format 'em with the Mac, they
do tend to fail to boot and give the unable to load message.
