In the early years, the British magazines certainly did cover the Apple
II, as well as the Commodore PET, and of course all the other computers
of that era. It was when the BBC computer appeared that things changed,
as that was also the era of the various Sinclair computers, such as the
ZX80, ZX81, and the Spectrum.
You must have come along to the magazines in the mid 80s, when things
were beginning to move to the IBM and Macintosh, and the magazines
changed their emphasis.
One of the best selling magazines at the time for Apple computers,
AppleUser, even changed its name to MacUser to show this trend.
