thinking of buying imac but no floopy, how do u share files?

I hope some one can help me please.

I am thinking of buying a new imac (one of those great new colours that are
out) and I can't help myself to wonder, "how do u Mac users share files,
with no floppies?"

Or that you the share files over the net?

Ok, so the old floppy can only hold 1.44 mb, but it still can hold some text
files etc...
Even the powerbook / ibook has no floppy drive..
