Yes, let people download. FE systems is letting people download
pirated copies of Apple Inc.'s copyrighted ROM code. They are giving
the opportunity for people to pirate. Just because Asimov got shut
down doesn't mean anything. In the past it was up and running and
there was a direct link to pirated software.

The anti-piracy battle should first attack those sites which matter the
most. FE systems, an "active" "apple II" developer should be
targeted. People probably think that FE systems has the right to have
the ROM there, but they don't (where is the proof that they do? I
haven't seen it, it is pirated). It is the general opinion that you
should trust developers. If someone that "should be trusted" is
pirating, they should be targeted first.

My logic is that if you link to a pirate site, you are a pirate.
Spreading the word about where you can download pirated warez is just
as bad as uploading pirated-warez.

The funny thing about you, QC, is that you started attacking Turley and
Rubywand. Now they've quieted down (notice less posts from them?)
because they don't want to be the cause of users leaving this newsgroup.

Now that they're gone, you argue with people that either agree with
you, or don't have an opinion on the subject! You are just looking for
someone to argue with.

Why don't you get a copy of Orca/C from Byteworks and spend your time
doing something useful instead of arguing just for the sake of doing it?

Insert quantumC reply here:
(wah, if I made software the turlettes would steal it)

Throw away your IIgs and erase Bernie, and use a real computer. Throw
away your toys and walk home crying like Nathan Mates did.
