There's no accounting for taste. But let's say you once told the funniest
joke known to man, and you were so pleased with yourself that you told that
joke every day to the same audience.  Over and over...

Blah blah blah.... Blah blah blah. Why, goodness, that's exactly our
situation here, isn't it?

As for your "sting",  it's in your imagination. It's pretty clear you're
prickless as well as clueless, how could you possibly sting?
