No. Caller ID requires a special interface that uses the digital codes
that come down the phone line. Those "ring" messages are sent to the
computer by the modem when it detects a ring on the line. If the modem
was in answer mode, initiated by entering "ata" into your terminal
software with the modem on, it would answer the call and attempt to make
a connection. While you can use this feature to turn your computer into
a "silent ringer" you cannot make it into a call display. For that, you
need to get special software and an internet connection from your phone
company, Which, I believe is only available for the PC.
