Well, I managed to get the floppies reconstructed from the SHK images
and booted the demo.  Results:

On my ZIP-accelerated GS01 (4MB), it hiccoughs (caching?) unless the
ZIP is set to "normal" GS speeds and modes.  Even then, it gets through
the first act of the demo and crashes trying to load the second act.

On my un-accelerated GS03 (2MB) it flat won't boot.  Bombs into the
monitor.

I guess I need to pull the ZIP out and try it on the GS01 again. :-) 
Is it futile to expect it to run on the ROM03?  Or am I missing
something obvious?
