Good idea; and, I think you should include all users. Disk images are
downloaded by users of real Apple II/IIgs computers, too.

_________

Of course, Cinemaware has allowed its old IIgs titles to be available
for free downloading on a few public sites by just not objecting to their
presence. So, right now, the company benefits from some free advertising of
its brand name every time a user plays one of its games. This is sure to have
at least some Apple II users looking for current Cinemaware PC or Mac
products when shopping for new game software.

The main advantage to Cinemaware in going along with the idea of
'official' reclassification to Freely Distributable Freeware is wider
distribution. Many archives refuse to offer old commercial software without
an official public okay from the rights owner. Reclassification would make
the old software available on many more sites and increase its promotional
value.

If Cinemaware does not plan to try selling its old Apple II software and
changing the status is not too much bother, then, the boost in promotional
value is a pretty good deal.
