     Do not recognize either game. The first one sounds like it could involve
time travel. One large Picture-Text adventure I never got into is "Time
Zone". Maybe that's the game.

     There are a bunch of game players on comp.emulators.apple2 (so this is
being cross-posted).  Someone there may recognize one or both of the
adventures you're looking for.
