Apple II/e newbie - please help

Hello,

I purchased an Apple II/e a few days ago at a garage sale, and I know
absolutely nothing about it.  There was no documentation with the
system, nor was there any software.  I have no idea how to tell what
hardware is in this system, but it did come with a 5.25 floppy drive,
a Zenith Data Systems monitor/screen, a joystick and a Prowriter
printer.  I have built many PC's, but have never worked with anything
quite this old, nor have I worked with an Apple system before.

Can someone get me started in the right direction to finding technical
information on this system as well as information on how to use it and
what software, kind and type of floppies it uses, etc...  Any
information would be appreciated as the only thing I know how to do is
turn the power button on and off.
