Just keep your eyes peeled. Everytime I see a IIgs at Goodwill, garage
sales, or whatever (and I waste a lot of time searching the galaxy for
interesting antique computers) I pop the top. I've found 3 Vulcans, an Apple
High Speed SCSI card, 4 meg ram cards, and a TWGS that way. The TWGS I
found at the dump in the recycling area. It also had a Vulcan. I used to
just look at the back for SCSI connectors, bad idea, some of the best stuff
is invisible from the outside.
Most IIgs's I find are just ROM1 units with 1 meg ram cards, but
occasionally I find something good. I also started getting them if they were
ROM3 units or had the more powerful powersupplies, and saving those parts.
