I'd point out that as recently as a year ago, Activision was actively selling
archive packages for anywhere from $30 to $60 of classic Infocom games; the
fact that these packages are now giveaways doesn't necessarily matter.
The point is that even though these products have gone for extended periods out
of print, they have come back at least twice (as in The Lost Treasures of
Infocom around 1992-93, and in the more categorized archives of 1998 or so).
This could be taken as evidence that even "forgotten" software does
occasionally get revived by publishers.
Just a thought.
