Dear Joe,

GSAUG is supposed to have a formal relationship with Apple, Inc., but it
is not an interactive one.

The current GSAUG president and his very young son did demos on the
then new iMac and sold some 15 as I recall. No commission, but did get a
thankyou.  I would have thought he could have gotten a discount or 
something more than a thankyou. At least I would have expected a warm
recognition and an open ear.  The latest news is that Apple is no longer
releasing it's operating systems to users groups.  

When I was assistant librarian I did find an Apple logo diagnostic disk. 
Through a garage sale hosted by an employee at Apple I came up with disk 7
to system 6.0.1. I'll have to ask Matthew for more information about
diagnostic disks in our library since that's his bailiwick. I'll post back
when I find out anything.
