followup (was: wanted: answers)

Hiya,
Well, thanks for all the useful info. It'll have to wait until after
I finish re-building the PC but I think I'll get a HD and RAM for the
IIGS to play around with it.
I almost tossed it the other other day. The screen went all screwey
and I spent an hour trying to figure out the problem by twiddling
controls, riping it apart and going on the net. I even tried that
option-control-reset-2 trick a few times but that didn't work...at
first. I came back a few hours later and tried it one last time before I
took it down to toss it and gace the knobs a few futile tunrs and the
screen came back. I'm going to leave the thing running now and them to
see if it was just a fluke or what.

I have another question. What's applexinu and how's it different from
gno/me? I'm going to take a shot in the dark and assume that applexinu
is for //e's or something. I saw it listed at a couple ftp sites I
discovered.

Also, when I was at a goodwill shop the other day I saw a commodore
monitor and remembered something about using them as replacements. I
shoulda checked but the cable end is wrong for the IIGS. I tried using
it with adapters on a couple Macs, ancient and newer and neither liked
it which is odd. Maybe I missed it but is there and adapter to use thing
on a IIGS?

TIA,
firead
