Re: Apple II-Or Come on people, It's a 20 year old computer
You know it's interesting: There's a lot of people in this
NG that I do't particularly care for, and maybe one or two
who don't care for me (can't be more than that, right? :))
But one thing that we all have in common is our respect
and even love for this machine. Obviously, our basher
hasn't a clue as to what we've discovered over the years
can be done with an Apple II.. He's probably never stayed
up all nite working on a BASIC routine, or tweaking
hardware. I'll lay odds that he's only ever used
"appliance" computers--plug in and turn on, and see if
it makes toast. Nota clue as to the joy of discovery
in getting something that wasn't supposed to be possible
because we were "only" using a II, to work. I can do
99% of what I want and need to do with my II. Speed,
programs, utilities, all there. Hmmmmm....maybe if he
picked one up and USED it, he's apologize. :)
