Can Someone Help

Hi.  I just pulled my Apple IIGS out of the closet after being in there for
5 years.  It seems to work good but I have a question and a problem.  First
off the IIGS is the only apple I have.  I am using a PC.  The latest version
of GSOS I have is 5.0.4.  I hear the latest is 6.01.  I downloaded the files
for the seven disks for version 6.01 but I have no idea how to get the .2mg
files onto disks that the IIGS can read.  Can anyone help me get them onto
disks or would anyone be kind enough to send me copies of their disks?  Now
the problem.  To make my 3.5" external disk drive, I have to push the back
of the connector down while it is plugged in, otherwise the light just stays
on and it doesnt do anything.  Anyone know how to fix this?
