Q: Video-7 enhancer for Apple IIC.

Hi!

I'm running a IIC micro with a Video-7 enhancer connected to a Commodore
1084 digital (TTL) RGB monitor using the DB9F output.

The combination works OK giving a sharp and well-defined colour output. One
phenomena that seems to be link to this arrangement is that when I try to
boot a new disk, (either by cold-boot or by software reset) whith the
monitor turned on, the boot process won't work, giving "check disk-drive"
message.

However, booting the disk first with monitor turned off, and then turning
on the monitor again midway through the initial boot seems to resolve this
condition.

Is this a "normal occurence" for this setup, or is this linked to the use of
a digital CBM monitor?

Any feedback appreciated!

best regards
