Apple IIgs & GS/OS Disc Image Question

I have a Woz IIgs with ROM 1 and (I believe) around 2M of RAM (1.5M on
a GSRAM card).  The system didn't come to me with any system discs, so
I downloaded GS/OS from Apple and used DiscCopy to make physical copies
of the disc images to 800K floppies.  

Everything seemed ok on the Mac side, but they seem to be completely
useless on the Apple IIgs side.  With the disc images, I am able to
boot into Bernie ][ the Rescue on my Mac, but with the actual disc I
can't get anything but a "Unable to load ProDOS" message on the IIgs.

Any suggestions about what I need to do to get this to work?

I do have a FocusDrive IIgs 340 MB card in the mail to me from Alltech,
so I'm not too worried and I can still work with programs that have
their own boot procedure on the disk.  I would like to figure this out,
though, since I want to get back into completely understanding Apple
II.
