What is different in the system state when I boot a program directly (no
GSOS, slot 5 set in the control panel), Vs first booting GSOS, then double
clicking a floppy's system files?
When some programs are launched from GSOS (via double-clicking system files
on the floppy) they crash. It *looks* like their version of ProDos has
booted, but eventually something fails. Also, the IIgs diagnostic program
freezes during motherboard memory testing (unless the interrupt test is done
first). All programs and test run fine if booted directly from the floppy.
What is going on? Is there some residual program left behind when GSOS is
loaded first? I have a FOCUS in slot 7.
