One thing you could try is unforking the file after it arrives on your
Apple II using Unforkit. The program with docs is on the TFFE site and in an
.shk file named "unforkit01shk.bin" in GSWV June 2000 at ...

http://www.grin.net/~cturley/gsezine/GS.WorldView/v2000/Jun/Archives/ .

In an experiment on a IIgs forked file, UnforkIt worked fine. I do not
know how it will handle a forked file created by a Mac. (You may need to use
ProType on the Mac to avoid having a type $00 file.)

Well, just a minute ... . Okay; I tried taking a forked file and giving
it a $00 filetype (and $0000 auxtype). UnforkIt went ahead and split the file
into two bin type files anyway. So, maybe you will not need to mess with
ProType.
