Re: Need help with distinguishing enhanced vs. unenhanced IIe
It is in a FAQ someplace but with the ROMS and 65C02, an enhanced IIe says
something like "Apple // e", and a non-enhanced says "Apple ][" at the start
of the boot process.
I have been told that a non-enhanced IIe with a 65C02 CPU can run most all
the software that the ROM+65c02 machine can. It would still say "Apple ]["
(read the CPU next time it's open to check for this unlikely possibility).
( I bought an non-enhanced before I knew the difference. )
