IIe Card floppy drive hook-up woes

I'm trying to get one of these going, and have put the card in my LCII, and
gotten the software to recognize the card, and work properly.

I have a 5-1/4" floppy drive, A9M0107, from a IIC+.  The drive is supported
according to the TIL http://til.info.apple.com/tilarchive.nsf/artnum/n8807

Problem:  On the drive connector I count 19 pins (male), while the recipient
is 15 pin (female).

Do I just need an adapter, or is something else wrong?
