Legalities notwithstanding, I can tell you some basics to get
it a little more stable. There are configuration options
available further down in the menus. There are options to toggle
a variety of settings. You should also set the proper paths for
the Ultra macros and Timeout applets. Probably the dictionary
also. If you don't want to use the macro's and applets, you can
gain some extra memory by disabling them. If you intend to use
Appleworks much, you should really consider getting a manual or
reference book. Otherwise, you'll miss out on a lot of the power
of the program.

As for stability, I have heard this version was a bit buggy. I
don't know since I only use older versions and even then it's
only when I have to. I do very little 'office' computing on my
II's. Actually I do very little 'office' computing period.
