I spent a while without a disk drive, too, but I didn't have a tape
recorder.  So I figured out an interesting solution (though I'd be
surprised if I were the first to think of it) -- I used my computer's
sound card.

It takes a little messing around with volume levels, for recording,
especially if you have a cheap or older card.  You want to keep them
high, but not so high there's a lot of static.  I also found that, when
loading the program back to the //e, I needed to turn both the master
volume and wave volume up nearly all the way.

It works great, though, and I had a couple programs stored this way until
I could save to disk.
