Try moving it to Slot 2 and specify 'My Card' in the control panel for slots.

I had the same problem with a Focus I had as such and that fixed it for me just
fine.  Something about Slot 7 and the Focus with that sized IDE HD just seems
to freak out on occasions.  But, moving it to Slot 2 with the control panel set
as mentioned above seems to always fix the problem for me with the Focus 340MB
or larger sized HD.
