Re: 65816 in a IIe? (or, buddy, can you spare a 65802?)



The TransWarp didn't have a spot for one but AE did advertise that they
would sell you a 65802 to replace the 65C02 on the card.
They did sell a 65816 card that clipped onto the RamWorks memory card
though.
I'd suspect they didn't sell many of them as there never was much software
that
would take advantage of it. Now if Apple had started putting 65802s into
their
later IIes the situation might be a lot different now.
