It should. It's something I plan on checking out one of these days.
I have several of the older type of floppies lying around my apartment
that I took out of Mac IIci's that someone apparently thought were
vacuum cleaners.

If the file isn't a binary file, you have to CREATE it first, and
if the file doesn't all fit into memory at once, there's some other
options which I vaguely remember that you have to do. I never was
much into the CLI stuff, it was much easier to boot up the System
Utils or whatever I ended up with to do the copying.
