Guess you mean the stuff from Quantum Cat, Roy, ... . It's not much of a
war. While the rambling, somewhat vacuous postings do wonders for Csa2 traffic
counts, most users probably skip most of them.
Back in 1996 and 1997 we had some battles over real issues that involved
lots of readers. Things came to a head in the Spring and Summer of 1998. Since
then, we've gone for months at a time without a decent flamewar. You've missed
the really juicy ones.

Naturally. To a newbie it may have seemed like being caught in the middle
of a raging war. The reality is that the business of asking & answering
questions, planning upgrades, programming, fixing stuff, working on
publications, etc. went on. The "war" is just a sideshow.
Anyway, a nice thing about this newsgroup is that you do not have to
please everyone or, even, anyone. The only person who has to 'know' that you
made the right choice about something is you.
